October has arrived! Only 4 more weeks until my house is full of candy and I’m tortured with the sight of crunchies and smarties. My kids on the other hand, are getting really excited for all of their favourite Halloween themed cartoons and dressing up in costumes.

The Annual Fire Prevention Week Open House provides the community with a day full of fun.
The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week will continue through the Fire Safety House, as well, where children will learn about the important job a smoke alarm does in providing you early warning in a fire. They’ll also learn about the importance of having a home escape plan through a mock evaluation complete with simulated smoke and ladders to climb out of the Fire Safety House.
