The JCCs of Greater Toronto took on the honor and responsibility of hosting the inaugural “Skate for Sarah” Charitable Hockey Tournament and Family Event on Sunday February 28th, in memory of Sarah Watkin. Sarah passed away on November 2nd, 2014, after bravely battling a rare and extremely aggressive form of blood cancer. She was seven years old, and her ordeal was very public and touched a lot of people in our community. Charities supported by this event include One Match, Chai Lifeline and JCCs of Greater Toronto.
