Guest can challenge their taste buds with our Canadian Taste Test and see if they can identify true Canadian specialties from imposters or compete in any and all of the interactive games and activities set up to test your knowledge of our country. To commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday, the Simcoe County Museum is taking a lighthearted look at Canadian stereotypes with our Only in Canada? exhibit. From our Mitten Challenge to our Log Drivers Waltz, guests will enjoy laugh out loud fun. Only in Canada? is open in the Simcoe Gallery from March to May 4, 2017. For March Break, we are expanding the Only in Canada? exhibit throughout the Museum. Guest can challenge their taste buds with our Canadian Taste Test and see if they can identify true Canadian specialties from imposters or compete in any and all of the interactive games and activities set up to test your knowledge of our country. Entrance to the Only in Canada? exhibit and March Break activities are included with your admission. Regular Museum admission rates: Museum Members and preschoolers are free, Adult $6, Senior/Student $5, Child $4. Snowshoes are available to borrow at no additional cost but outdoor activities are weather and grounds conditions permitting.

Canada’s largest St. Patrick’s Parade takes place every year through the centre of Toronto. The Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a colourful celebration of community. We invite everyone to celebrate being Irish – even if it is only for the day!

The Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins on the corner of Bloor Street and St. George Street (near St. George subway station) and heads east on Bloor Street, turns south on Yonge Street and finally turns west on Queen Street, finishing at the parade reviewing stand at Nathan Phillips Square.
The parade starts at 12 noon and the line of march lasts one and a half hours at any given point along the route. Access from the TTC subway can be made at the following stations: St. George, Bloor, Wellesley, College, Dundas and Queen
